Bowel cancer is easier to treat when found early, but many people do not return their NHS home test kits. The BENE-FIT study tests whether sending extra planning tips, encouraging messages, or a suggested return date helps more adults aged 50 to 74 in North East England complete their screening.

Use of a Novel Camera to Check the Bowel After Polyp or Tumour Removal
This study is testing a new, smaller camera called a 'rectoscope' to check the lower bowel after polyps or small cancers have been removed. It aims to make these important checks easier and quicker, using a simple enema instead of strong bowel preparation, to help reduce waiting lists.
