This study is testing a new combination antibiotic treatment (Aztreonam and Avibactam, sometimes with Metronidazole) for serious bacterial infections in babies up to 9 months old. It aims to see how the medicines work in their bodies and if they are safe.

EXTENDed Antibiotic Durations Compared to Standard Durations for Patients With Complicated Intra-abdominal Infection.
This study compares standard antibiotic treatment to a longer, 28-day course for serious tummy infections. It aims to see if longer treatment works better, improves quality of life, and is good value for money, following patients for 6 months after treatment begins.
