Daily versus alternate day oral iron supplementation for the treatment of iron deficiency anaemia in pregnancy (IronMother)
This study is looking at the best way to give iron supplements to pregnant women who have too little iron (iron deficiency anaemia). We want to find out if taking iron every day or every other day works better to improve their iron levels and how they feel, while keeping side effects low.

Prevention of anaemia with oral iron supplementation
Many women develop low iron levels during pregnancy. This NHS-funded study looks at whether taking a daily low-dose iron tablet from early pregnancy helps keep mothers and babies healthy. Researchers want to compare iron tablets with a dummy pill to see if routine iron should be recommended for all pregnant women.
