The Effect of Retrograde Autologous Priming on Transfusion Requirements After Cardiac Surgery

This study looks at a special way to prepare the heart-lung machine for heart surgery. It aims to see if using a patient's own blood instead of a water-based liquid helps reduce the need for blood transfusions during and after surgery. This is a first step to see if a bigger study is possible.
