This study looks for the phrenic nerve in the neck using ultrasound in ICU patients on breathing machines. We want to find the best way to locate this nerve, which helps control breathing, so doctors can potentially use new treatments to help patients breathe better.

This study looks at how breathing is affected in lung transplant patients on breathing machines, both before and after the machine is removed. It uses new tools to measure lung function and breathing effort to find the best way for patients to come off breathing support.
