Finding the Optimal Regimen for Mycobacterium Abscessus Treatment
This study, called FORMaT, is looking for the best ways to treat a serious lung infection called Mycobacterium abscessus (MABS-PD). It tests different medicines to find the most effective and safest treatments, aiming to improve how people with this condition live.
For: Pulmonary Disease Due to Mycobacteria (Diagnosis)Australia · Denmark · Israel - AuthorisedTherapeutic exploratory (Phase II)
Nebulized Amikacine for Ventilator associated gram negative Pneumonia in ECMO veno-arterial patients: A randomized Pilot Study (NAVAP-ECMO)
This study looks at a new way to treat lung infections in very sick patients on a special life support machine. We're testing if giving a specific antibiotic directly into the lungs helps clear the infection better and if it's safe.
For: gram-negative bacillus pneumonia acquired during mechanical ventilation in patients receiving Extracorporeal Membrane veno-arterial oxygenationFrance - Ongoing, recruitingTherapeutic confirmatory (Phase III)
A Phase 3, Multi-Center, Randomized, Single-Blind Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Cefepime/Nacubactam and Aztreonam/Nacubactam Versus Best Available Therapy in Adults With Complicated Urinary Tract Infection, Acute Uncomplicated Pyelonephritis, Hospital-Acquired Bacterial Pneumonia, Ventilator-Associated Bacterial Pneumonia, and Complicated Intra-Abdominal Infection due to Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacterales (OP0595-6)
This study looks at new medicines for serious bacterial infections like complicated urine infections, pneumonia, and tummy infections. Researchers want to see if these new treatments work better and are safer than current standard care, especially for infections resistant to common antibiotics.
For: Complicated urinary tract infection (cUTI) · acute uncomplicated pyelonephritis (AP) · hospital acquired bacterial pneumonia (HABP)France · Czechia · Greece - AuthorisedTherapeutic confirmatory (Phase III)
PYELOCOURT - 3-day intravenous antibiotic treatment versus 3-day intravenous followed by 7-day oral antibiotic treatment for acute pyelonephritis in children 1 month to 3 years old: a non-inferiority open randomized multicentric clinical trial
This study looks at how best to treat kidney infections in children aged 1 month to 3 years. It compares a 3-day IV antibiotic with a 3-day IV followed by a 7-day oral antibiotic. The main goal is to see which treatment best prevents the infection from coming back.
For: acute pyelonephritis (AP) in childrenFrance - AuthorisedTherapeutic confirmatory (Phase III)
BICCS - Beta-lactam Intermittent versus Continuous infusion and Combination antibiotic therapy in Sepsis
This study looks at different ways to give antibiotics to people with a serious infection called sepsis. Researchers want to see if continuous treatment or using different antibiotics together can help people recover better and reduce deaths in the first 30 days.
For: antibiotic therapy in SepsisFrance - AuthorisedTherapeutic use (Phase IV)
TIME-TO-LIA : Optimal Duration of Antibiotic Therapy in Drained Pyogenic Liver Abscess: 3 weeks versus 6 weeks, a non-inferiority trial
This study is looking at the best length of antibiotic treatment for liver abscesses, comparing 3 weeks to 6 weeks. It wants to see if shorter treatment is just as effective and safe as longer treatment for patients after their abscess has been drained.
For: Pyogenic liver abscessFrance - AuthorisedTherapeutic use (Phase IV)
Defining Antibiotic Levels in Intensive care patients (DALI-2) protocol - A multi-national pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic cohort study to determine whether contemporary antibiotic dosing for critically ill patients achieves therapeutic exposures.
This study looks at how well antibiotics work in very sick patients. Researchers want to make sure these important medicines reach the right levels in the body to fight serious infections effectively and safely. It's about getting the dose just right.
For: Serious infections in critically ill patients treated with antibioticsFrance
