Apixaban/rivaroxaban Versus Aspirin for primary prevention of thrombo-embolic complications in JAK2V617F-positive myeloproliferative neoplasms
This study compares new blood thinners (apixaban/Eliquis, rivaroxaban/Xarelto) with aspirin to see which best prevents blood clots in people with certain bone marrow conditions (myeloproliferative neoplasms) like Polycythemia Vera. It also looks at side effects, like bleeding.
For: Philadelphia-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms are frequent and chronic myeloid malignancies including Polycythemia Vera (PV) · essential thrombocythemia (ET) · Primary Myelofibrosis (PMF) and Prefibrotic myelofibrosis (PreMF).
