Autologous bone marrow adult mononuclear cells not expanded clinical trials

Clinical trial phase IIb multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial evaluating the efficacy of intracoronary infusion of autologous adult mononuclear bone marrow unexpanded on functional recovery in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy of idiopathic origin and heart failure.

This study is looking into a new treatment for a type of heart weakness called idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy. It uses a patient's own bone marrow cells to see if they can help improve heart function. Half the patients get these cells, and half get a dummy treatment, to compare the effects.
