This study is testing a new medication called asundexian against a standard treatment (apixaban) to see how well it prevents strokes or serious blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat. It's also looking at how safe the new drug is.

This study is looking for a new medicine called asundexian to help prevent strokes in people who have recently had a stroke or a mini-stroke. It compares this new medicine with a dummy pill to see if it works better and is safe.
