A Phase 3, randomised, double-blind, parallel-group, 76-week, efficacy and safety study of BI 456906 administered subcutaneously compared with placebo in participants with overweight or obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus
This study is testing a new medicine, BI 456906, for people who are overweight or have obesity and type 2 diabetes. We want to see if it helps with weight loss and is safe to use over about 1.5 years, compared to a dummy medicine.

This study is testing a new medicine, BI 456906, for people who are overweight or have obesity. It wants to see if the medicine helps with weight loss and if it's safe. Participants will get either the real medicine or a dummy injection.
