This study, called PIONEER, is testing a medicine called Pirfenidone to see if it helps people with a serious lung condition called ARDS. Researchers want to know if it helps people breathe on their own sooner and stay out of intensive care, compared to a dummy pill.

Pragmatic management of progressive disease in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis: a randomized trial. PROGRESSION-IPF
This study looks at how well different medicines treat Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). It compares two common drugs, Esbriet and Ofev, to see which helps slow down the disease’s progress and if people can take them easily. It aims to find the best ways to manage IPF.
