SHIELD – Swift Hydrocortisone Intervention after trauma exposure

This study, called SHIELD, is looking at whether a low dose of a medicine called hydrocortisone can help people who have recently experienced a traumatic event. It aims to see if starting this medicine quickly can lower the chances of developing PTSD symptoms or make them less severe.
