This study compares a new medicine, luspatercept, with a standard one, epoetin alfa, for people with a type of blood disorder called myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). It aims to see if luspatercept can reduce the need for blood transfusions.

A Study to Evaluate Long-term Safety in Participants Who Have Participated in Other Luspatercept (ACE-536) Clinical Trials
This study looks at the long-term safety of a medicine called luspatercept for people with certain blood disorders. It's for those already taking part in a luspatercept study to see if continuing the treatment is safe over a longer period.
