Early Reperfusion Therapy with Intravenous Thrombolysis for Recovery of VISION in Acute Central Retinal Artery Occlusion (REVISION) - A double-blind randomized placebo-controlled phase III trial
This study, called REVISION, is looking at a medicine called tenecteplase for sudden vision loss caused by a blocked blood vessel in the eye. It wants to see if this medicine can help people regain their vision. This research is important for finding better ways to treat this condition.
For: Acute non-arteritic central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO)Germany - AuthorisedTherapeutic confirmatory (Phase III)
TENACITY – A Phase III, prospective, randomized, open-label, blinded endpoint assessment (PROBE) to assess efficacy and safety of i.v. tenecteplase vs standard of care in patients with acute ischemic stroke (including wake-up stroke), last known well >4.5 h with imaging evidence of salvageable ischemic tissue
This study is looking at a new way to treat people who have had a stroke caused by a blood clot. It compares a drug called tenecteplase with the usual care, especially for those treated later or who wake up with stroke symptoms.
For: Acute Ischemic StrokeGreece · Norway · Hungary - AuthorisedTherapeutic confirmatory (Phase III)
“Intravenous Thrombolysis With Tenecteplase Plus Thrombectomy Versus Thrombectomy Alone In Patients With A Large Ischemic Stroke: A Multicentre Randomized Controlled Trial” THE IVT ALL IN TRIAL
This study is looking at a new way to treat a serious type of stroke caused by a large blood clot. It compares giving a clot-busting medicine called Tenecteplase before removing the clot, versus just removing the clot. The main goal is to see if combination treatment helps more people recover better after 3 months.
For: Adult patients with a LVOS with large core within 9 hours of symptoms onset or last seen well · or with a diffusion weighted imaging (DWI)-fluid attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) mismatch in case of unknown onset.France - AuthorisedTherapeutic confirmatory (Phase III)
Extending the time window for Tenecteplase by Effective RecanalizatioN of bAsilar artery occLusion in patients with POSTerior circulation stroke (POST ETERNAL)
This study looks at treating a severe type of stroke affecting the back of the brain. It's testing if a clot-busting medicine, Tenecteplase, can be given effectively over a wider time window to prevent disability or death and improve recovery.
For: Acute ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion.France
