PARASTOP – Paracetamol with Strong Opioids. A randomized, double-blind, parallel-group non-inferiority phase III withdrawal trial of paracetamol versus placebo in conjunction with opioids for moderate to severe cancer-related pain
This study looks at how well paracetamol works with strong pain relief medicines (opioids) for cancer pain. It compares paracetamol to a dummy pill (placebo) to see if paracetamol helps reduce pain without needing more opioids. It's for adults with cancer that has spread.
