Normal saline versus lactated Ringer’s solution for acute pancreatitis resuscitation, an open-label multicenter randomized controlled trial: the WATERLAND trial

This study, called WATERLAND, is comparing two common fluid treatments, normal saline and lactated Ringer's solution, for people with sudden inflammation of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis). Researchers want to see which fluid best prevents serious complications in the first month after treatment starts.
