Ultrasound-guided Radiofrequency Ablation versus radioactive Iodine as treatment for Hyperthyroidism caused by Solitary Autonomous Thyroid Nodules (RABITO study)
This study compares two treatments for an overactive thyroid lump: a new ultrasound-guided heat treatment (radiofrequency ablation) and radioactive iodine. Researchers are checking how well they work, if they cause an underactive thyroid, and their overall safety for adults in the UK.
