OurPERSPECTIVE: Endometrial cancer survivorship study
OurPERSPECTIVE is a study for women who have completed treatment for womb cancer at least three years ago. Many women live well after treatment, but some still have physical symptoms or emotional worries. This study explores how a special support programme, OurPERSPECTIVE, can help women manage these challenges, understand their body, and feel more confident about their health in the long term. Participants will share their experiences through questionnaires and group discussions, which will help researchers understand what support works best. The aim is to create better ways to help women years after their cancer treatment has ended. Your involvement could make a real difference for others.
At a glance
What is this study about?
Imagine you've finished treatment for womb cancer (also known as endometrial cancer), and it's been several years since then. While you might be feeling much better, it's common for some women to still experience lingering physical issues, feel worried about their health, or just struggle with the emotional side of being a cancer survivor. At the moment, there isn't a lot of specific help available for women who are quite a few years past their treatment.
This study, called OurPERSPECTIVE, wants to change that. It's looking at a new support programme designed specifically for women who completed their womb cancer treatment at least three years ago. The programme aims to help you with your overall well-being, give you tools to understand and manage any ongoing symptoms you might have, and build your confidence in your long-term health and recovery. Researchers want to see if this programme truly helps.
By taking part, you'll be helping researchers understand what works best for women in your situation. The information you share will be used to improve support services for many other women who have faced womb cancer in the future. It's about making sure that once treatment is over, women still have the resources they need to live their lives to the fullest.

Who may be eligible?
This study is looking for women aged 18 or older who have had womb cancer that was treated with the aim of curing it. It's important that your treatment finished at least three years ago, and you are not currently undergoing active cancer treatment.
You also need to be able to use an internet-connected device, like a computer or tablet, to take part in the programme and understand the study materials in English. The study tries to get a good understanding of how the programme helps, so they won't include women who are currently dealing with very serious health issues (mental or physical) that would make it very difficult or unsafe to participate.
You can't join if there's any sign your cancer has returned or spread, or if you're already in another structured support programme for cancer survivors. The study wants to make sure everyone who takes part can get the most out of the OurPERSPECTIVE programme safely.

What does participation involve?
If you decide to join this study, you'll be asked to complete some questionnaires. These will ask about your health, how you're feeling, and your quality of life. You'll fill these out when you start the study, and then again after 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. Some participants will also be invited to join group discussions (called focus groups). These discussions will help the researchers understand what works well and what might be tricky about taking part in the programme. You'll also be taking part in the 'OurPERSPECTIVE' programme itself, which is a specially designed support programme. Your total involvement in the study will last for about a year.
