Volatile Sedation for Patients With the Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
This study looks at how different types of ongoing sedation affect breathing and lung health in seriously ill patients. We're comparing standard IV sedation with inhaled sedation, often used in surgery, to see which helps patients on breathing machines breathe better and protect their lungs.

Randomized trial on Spinal Anaesthesia vs. General Anaesthesia (SAGA) on recovery after total hip, total knee, and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty
This study compares two types of anaesthesia—spinal and general—for hip and knee replacement surgeries. It aims to see which one helps patients get back on their feet faster, specifically if they can walk 5 metres within 6 hours after surgery.
For: Osteoarthritis of the hip and kneeDenmark - Ongoing, recruitingTherapeutic confirmatory (Phase III)
A Global Multicenter, Randomized, Double-blinded, Propofol-controlled, Phase 3 Clinical Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of HSK3486 Injectable Emulsion for Induction of General Anesthesia in Adults Undergoing Elective Surgery
This study is testing a new medicine, given through a drip, to help people go to sleep before surgery. It's comparing this new medicine to a common anaesthetic to see if it works well and is safe for adults having an operation.

EVALUATION OF OPIOID CONSUMPTION USING OBJECTIVE NOCICEPTIVE MONITORING IN PATIENTS INDICATED FOR DEEP SEDATION IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
This study looks at how different sedatives affect very ill patients in intensive care, particularly focusing on how much pain relief medication they need. It aims to find the best ways to keep patients comfortable and safe while reducing side effects.
For: NEUROCRITIC PATIENTSSpain - AuthorisedTherapeutic use (Phase IV)
A single centre parallel-group randomized control trial of Magnetic Resonance Assessment of Variations in Effects of anaesthesia on renaL perfusion in children
This study looks at how different types of anaesthetic drugs, propofol and sevoflurane, affect blood flow to the kidneys in children who've had surgery. We're using special MRI scans to see if one is better at protecting their kidneys from problems after an operation.
For: Post-operative Acute Kidney InjurySweden - AuthorisedTherapeutic use (Phase IV)
Remimazolam versus propofol for deep sedation during Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) procedures. A randomized controlled trial.
This study is comparing two medications, remimazolam and propofol, used to help patients relax deeply during a special internal scan called an Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). It’s looking at which drug is safer and better for patients going through this procedure for conditions like stomach or pancreatic cancer.
For: Gastric and pancreatic cancerItaly - AuthorisedTherapeutic exploratory (Phase II)
Efficacy and safety of Remimazolam compared to Ketamine and Propofol in Rapid Sequence Induction. A monocentric pilot randomised-controlled study
This study looks at how well three different medicines work to help doctors put a breathing tube into a patient quickly and safely. It compares a new medicine (Byfavo) with two older ones (ketamine and propofol) to see which is best for this important procedure.
For: Rapid Sequence Induction in operating roomFrance - AuthorisedTherapeutic use (Phase IV)
GASPS Study: General Anaesthesia vs Spinal anaesthesia: Patient outcomes and Success in Outpatient primary total knee and hip Arthroplasty
This study compares different types of anaesthesia (general vs. spinal) for hip and knee replacement surgery. The main goal is to see if one type helps patients go home safely on the same day and avoid needing to come back to the hospital soon after.
For: Total knee and hip arthroplastiesSweden
