This study is testing a new drug called Baxdrostat for people whose high blood pressure isn't controlled by their current medicines. It aims to see if Baxdrostat helps lower blood pressure and if it's safe to use, compared to a dummy pill.
Uncontrolled hypertension (uTHN) defined as blood pressure that remains higher than goal levels despite patients being treated with 2 anti-hypertensive agentsincluding a diuretic. Resistant hypertension (rHTN) defined as blood pressure that remains higher than goal levels despite the use of at least 3 anti hypertensive drugs of different classes at maximum tolerated doseincluding a diuretic.Germany
